We have AKC breeder of merit reconition, This means we have bred several titled dogs, perform breed specific health testing, in good standing for record keeping for AKC and ASCA.
As we are a small scale hobby breeder that does not breed/sell more than 1 or 2 litters every 1-2 years..
WE ARE NOT, and proud to say, we do not qualify for, and DO not need to be USDA inspected, and do not fall under the definition of "commercial" breeder within our state or the USDA
As the "minimum" requirements for USDA inspection and approval have to do with minimum care, caging, feeding and basic healh care..These requirements are baised on the same requirements for LAB animals.
We prefer to stay smaller scale so our dogs are not kept in kennels, or we have to ensure the cage size is ok, or that they get the 1 hour of excersise outside of their "primary" enclosures!.
we are very proud to say our dogs are not raised in a commercial setting, but as our COMPANION dogs. We do work, train and show our dogs.. WE health test, we breed on a limited basis..
