Zumbro Golden Retrievers
₪ The Seller warrants that this puppy is a purebred Golden Retriever registerable with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and that the Limited Registration papers have/have not been provided to the Buyer on the date the sale is complete.
₪ Seller warrants that the above puppy is in good health and of sound temperament at the time of sale. The Buyer has 72 working week hours in which to have the puppy examined by their own veterinarian. If for any reason the Buyer is unsatisfied with the puppy in those 72 hours, the puppy may be returned to Seller at the Buyers expense for a full refund providing the puppy is in the same condition as when sold. All veterinary costs acquired after the puppy leaves the Seller’s possession, for what ever reason, and including the 72 hour period, is the responsibility of the Buyer. If the puppy is returned due to illness, a verified letter from a veterinarian is required.
₪ This puppy is the result of a selective breeding in which both Sire and Dam have certification of hips, elbows, heart, and eyes. Seller provides the following guarantees:
o Free from debilitating (i.e. requiring surgical interventions) hip/elbow dysplasia, as certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) by 26 months of age.
o Free of Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) and genetic cataracts as certified by American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) canine ophthalmologist at 12 months of age.
o Free of Sub-aortic Stenosis (SAS) as certified by a canine cardiologist at 12 months of age.
₪ Seller does not guarantee the following:
o Osteochondritis dessicans (OCD)
o Entropian, Ectropian, or other eye conditions not listed above.
₪ In the event that this puppy is found to have disabling hip or elbow dysplasia which requires corrective surgery, up to 26 months, hereditary cataracts or congenital heart disease, up to 12 months, the Seller will refund $400.00 of the purchase price. In order to receive the refund, the Buyer must provide the seller with the following:
o Copy of OFA report stating the dog has hip or elbow dysplasia requiring surgical intervention
o Copy of report from ACVO canine ophthalmologist proving hereditary cataracts
o Copy of report from board certified canine cardiologist proving congenital heart disease
o Proof of neuter/spay by a qualified veterinarian
₪ The Buyer agrees:
o To provide proper veterinary care throughout its lifetime, receiving appropriate vaccinations and placed on heartworm preventative.
o To provide a loving home in which the dog will be a part of the family and basically live in the home.
o To enroll dog in puppy socialization or beginning obedience class. Further obedience classes are strongly recommended.
o To never leave the dog chained/tethered to a stationary object unattended.
o To never mistreat, neglect, or use the dog for experimental purposes.
o To provide adequate and age appropriate exercise.
o To provide proper nutrition and maintain appropriate weight.
o Contact the Seller if for any reason the Buyer no longer wants or can no longer keep the dog. The Seller will have the first right of refusal if the dog is to be disposed of in any way. If Seller does not wish or is unable to acquire the dog, Seller will try to assist Buyer in placing dog. The Buyer is responsible for all costs related to returning dog to Seller.
o To not breed this dog. This animal will be sold on Limited Registration with the AKC and must be spayed/neutered prior to one year of age. If dog is used for breeding, a $3,000.00 penalty will be paid to Seller for punitive damages.
NO GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, ARE GIVEN BY SELLER, EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY AND SPECIFICALLY SET FORTH ABOVE. SELLER WILL BE LIABLE TO THE EXTENT STATED IN THE CONTRACT ONLY, AND WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR THE EXPENSES INCURRED FOR ANY REASON FOLLOWING THE SALE, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY AND EXPRESSLY ACCEPTED BY WRITTEN AGREEMENT.
