Health Guarantee
The health guarantee shown is posted by this member. It is not, nor does it imply, a guarantee by QualityDogs.com, an endorsement by QualityDogs.com of this guarantee, or any verification of this guarantee by QualityDogs.com. The breeder listed is solely responsible for the content and satisfaction of this guarantee. For your protection, QualityDogs.com recommends obtaining a printed, signed copy of any health guarantee.

To the best of the SELLERs knowledge the puppy being purchased is healthy at the time of sale. Said puppy has received all recommend vaccinations and worming(s) to date and a record of the vaccination history is provided detailing any medical treatment received under BREEDER/SELLER’S care. The above puppy has also been examined by a licensed veterinarian and found to be in good overall health. The BUYER agrees to continue to provide further veterinary care at no expense to the BREEDER. All puppy vaccinations, worming and rabies must be given at the advised age to keep your Cavalier healthy and adhere to this contract. If vaccinations are not given as scheduled and proof provided if needed, the health guarantee will be void.
Buyer agrees to have puppy examined by a reputable licensed veterinarian of Buyers choice within 72 hours (3 days) from time of pick up for a well-puppy exam. If a major health problem is found on initial examination that deems puppy unfit for sale, SELLER must be notified with 24 hours. Buyer may elect to keep the puppy or return it immediately, at BUYER’S expense, along with registration papers and veterinarian's report. This does not include any minor treatable conditions such as but not limited to, kennel cough or external/internal parasites such as worms, coccidia, giardia or any other parasites common in puppies and treatable. SELLER reserves the right to have the puppy examined by a veterinarian of SELLER'S choice before an exchange will be made. If approved, BUYER will choose a replacement puppy of the same gender, color and value when a comparable becomes available. Failure to have the puppy seen by a veterinarian within the 72 hours means you have accepted the puppy as is and invalidates this portion of the short-term health guarantee. All veterinarian and travel expenses are the responsibility of the BUYER.
BUYER agrees to keep above puppy away from public locations until the immunization process is complete, normally around 16 weeks of age. Here is a sample vaccination schedule, 8 weeks of age Distemper + Hepatitis + Parainfluenza + Parvovirus. 12 weeks of age, Distemper + Hepatitis + Parainfluenza + Parvovirus. 16 weeks of age, Distemper + Hepatitis + Parainfluenza + Parvovirus + Rabies. Annual boosters are also needed as recommend by your veterinarian along with deworming(s). Depending on your dogs lifestyle your veterinarian may also recommend the Bordetellosis (Kennel Cough) vaccination as well. BUYER should check with their local veterinarian for additional required immunizations necessary for their area. Any location other dogs are or have been such as parks, pet stores, front yard and side walks should be avoided until the puppy is protected. This is for the protection of your puppy from life threatening diseases such as Parvo, Corona, or Distemper. Your Veterinarian will inform you when the immunization process is completed and your puppy is protected. SELLER is not responsible if puppy contracts a communicable disease after leaving SELLER’S possession.
Your Charming Cavalier is guaranteed for 1 (one) year from date of birth to be free from life threatening genetic defects such as Mitral Valve Disease (MVD) with treatment being euthanasia. Should one become apparent within the first year you must provide a signed statement from a reputable licensed veterinarian stating it is genetic and not the result of diet or environment. SELLER reserves the right to take the puppy in for a second opinion and if both veterinarians are in agreement Charming Cavaliers will make an exchange according to the definitions in this contract. BUYER will sign the puppy over to Kimberly Thompson of Charming Cavaliers and BUYER will then choose a replacement puppy of the same gender, color and value when a comparable becomes available. No money will be exchanged, SELLER is not responsible for any vet bills incurred or shipping needed for either puppy, BUYER must cover all costs. BUYER may choose to keep the affected puppy as long as there is quality of life and the said puppy is under the care of a veterinarian. The puppy must be spayed/neutered if not already. This contract will than be null and void, no other guarantees will apply. If BUYERS veterinarian recommends euthanasia SELLER will need a signed statement from the reputable licensed veterinarian with the diagnosis and conformation the puppy was euthanized before we will make an exchange according to the definitions in this contract. Puppies are not exchanged for any other reasons than what is outlined in the Health Guarantee section of this contract. BUYER is responsible for all medical bills and care for the above puppy once it leaves SELLERS care.
