It is agreed between breeder and purchaser that a Thistledown akita is being acquired as a family companion or working dog to be used for tasks appropriate to the breed, including, if appropriate, conformation, obedience, agility or therapy work. The dog may not purchased for resale nor will it be used or trained for activities which are illegal or for which it is not suited by reason of temperament or conformation. Specifically, dog shall not be used to attack and or fight other animals for the purpose of sport.
The dog must be properly licensed and inoculated against rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and other communicable diseases and must continue heartworm and flea prevention programs. Dogs that are purchased as family companions and are deemed not to be of show or breeding quality must be spayed or neutered. In the event that the Purchaser is unable to keep the dog or provide an appropriate home in accordance with this agreement, the dog will be returned to the Breeder or the Breeder will assist with the dog's rehoming.
