OwyheeStar Kennels Guarantee

We take pride in the health of our breeding stock and the puppies we raise. All puppies have had a physical examination (Wellness Checkup) by our veterinarian, received the proper starter vaccination, and have been wormed. Our litters are AKC registered —registry paperwork is included. After all the care we have taken, should your puppy have a genetic defect within one year we will replace your puppy. We require a written statement from your Vet showing proof of the problem. Since your puppy has become in integral part of your family it is not necessary to return your Weimaraner to us. Should you have a documented genetic defect that will affect the life or the lifestyle of your Weim we will replace you puppy with a pup of equal value. There could be a wait for a replacement pup because we do not always have pups available. Should we have a pup available but lets say it is from a cross that is selling for a higher price, we will allow you to pay the difference in price and get the more expensive pup.
Initially, we allow 7 days for you take the puppy to the Veterinarian of your choice for a full examination. A full refund will be given upon request with a written Veterinarian note explaining the health defect—discovered during the initial examination. The puppy must be returned within 7 days or as agreed upon to the Nielsen home or the Boise airport.

Our primary reason for becoming breeders is to supply our own need for Weims, and to raise an occasional litter that we offer for sale to responsible owners. We never sell to Pet shops.

Our Extended Guarantee Program

The Extended Guarantee Program is for those owners who agree to purchase NuVet supplements for the first two years of their pet’s life. We feel that this period of time is the most important time of a dog’s life, therefore it is important while they are growing to ensure they have the nutrients they need. We are so convinced that these supplements work that we are offering this extended warranty to all owners who participate. You will find the brochure and a sample included with nearly 1” notebook of information you will receive along with your new pup.
All the terms of the guarantee stay the same except for the length of time that we offer to guarantee and replace the pup. Should your puppy have a genetic defect within three years we will replace your puppy. We require a written statement from your Vet showing proof of the problem. We will also require you to forward the records showing that you purchased the NuVet supplements for the 2 year period. Since your puppy has become in integral part of your family it is not necessary to return your Weimaraner to us. Should you have a documented genetic defect that will affect the life or the lifestyle of your Weim we will replace you puppy with a pup of equal value. Initially, we allow 5 business days for you take the puppy to the Veterinarian of your choice for a full examination. A full refund will be given upon request with a written Veterinarian note explaining the health defect—discovered during the initial examination.
