A Visitor asked the following question on 7/5/2009
hello my 3 year old dachshund had her first litter. She ONLY had 1 puppy but it was a stillborn. She still loved on it and lick and tried to get that poor thing to react somehow. we finally took the stillborn pup away and buryed it. BUT the problem is not she is treating my husband like a puppy. she whimpers and jumps up at him until he sits and lets her be near him. is that a normal grieving thing for a first time mom with a stillborn pup? i dont know what to do but love on her extra. please help.
