I have found in my breeding experience that smooth coats are sometimes more hyperactive. Also the piebalds are sometimes hyperactive especially as puppies. But really they are like children. It just depends on the puppies personality. The English creams and English black and creams are much less hyperactive. Doxies are no more hyperactive than any other breed, in fact a lot less than some such as Poodles.
