I have a Double Dapple, when we got him a year and a half ago, I never knew ANYTHING about these dogs.. I just bought him, because he was "different" and very cute! I have been reading about all the things that can be wrong with these dogs...As far as I know, he is very healthy, he weights 13 lbs. I have taken him to the vet for check ups, up to date on all his shots.. and he seems to be perfect.. no problems.. will be "develop" any problems down the road, or if you are going to have problems with them, are they born with them? He is VERY smart.. Thanks..

I have two double dapples that are brother and sister. I heard the only real problem would be in breeding two double dapples together. From what I have read and learnt, breeding DD together can lead to everything from blindness and deafness to extreme deformities. I have never bred mine. One day I will breed each of them but I will be very careful with choosing their breeding mates. I haven't had any behavior or health problems with my DDs. Margaret
