I am looking to breed my Black and Tan Dapple Male with smooth hair. I am currently seeking a good female. I was wondering what color and markings I should get if I would like to have a mixture of puppies? I would like to definitely have some dapples in the litter. I have hear rumors that if two dapples are bred together, some of the litter may be blind. Is this true? I am looking at a tan smooth female. Would this be a good choice for puppies? Should I get a dapple female?

8/12/07 Don't breed to another dapple, going blind is one of the least things that can happen. Dapple is a dominant trait so anything that you breed with should produce 50% dapple by the genetics. I just bred a dapple female to a choc. male got 1 dapple, 2 choc/tan. Richard
