I have a Male Mini Dapple Dashund and I would like to stud him out,
What age should I do this and how much should one charge a client on doing so?
He is a full breed and is black,tan, and sliver.
He likes to try to mount the cat. Could you help me on this?

Unless your dog has remarkable lines and conformation I would not offer to stud him out. If you feel and he has proven conformation (i.e. you show him) and he has placed you should consider it. There are too many Dachshunds in the world. This is not to sound discouraging if you are looking to become serious about the world of Dachshunds and not just a back yard breeding stud. You should first look at his pedigree and see if he has come from known reputable lines. Study these lines and make sure there are known cases of genetic dysorders. Once you understand his lines and conformation of what a Dachshund should be you will have a better idea of what to charge. Let me know if you have any questions
