A Visitor asked the following question on 3/28/2007
Sooo can someone explain to me why dogs make that snorting noise through their nose? I was scared when I heard my dashund do that, it seemed like he couldn't breathe, but it seemed like he was clearing his throat, or his nose? Am I on the right track??

Normally it means they are cleaning out their nostrils. Mine do it quit often. When it gets real bad i just comfort them, it's like they get a spasm.
They should be okay
