Oh dear. I believe there has been a mating between our small piebald (donna) and a LARGE dapple male (jim). I read about 63 days we will have a puppy or two. ANY idea what they might look like? Also, are there things I should look for in my female? I have had 9 dachshunds in my lifetime (now I am 42) I have never had a dog have puppies. Please advice welcome.

You need to keep your vet close when the time gets close, she may not be able to pass the puppies thru the birth canal, plus take her in to find out how many puppies she is carrying, if there is only two or three, they can grow very large, and if that is the case, she will need a C-section. Please next time, try to keep the pattern either Pie or Dapple and the male should alway be smaller.. Good Luck with you puppies
