I would like to know how many times is safe to let my female dachshund have puppies? I plan to breed her for the first time next spring with my male. He is a Black and tan pie and she is cho and tan, both long hair. What color do you think the pups may be? Thanks

I wouldn't breed her more than 1 time a year and that if she had no complications whelping. Usually I retire mind around 5 years of age, it depends on what she produced.
Unless your blk/tan pie carries for cho, more than likely all pups will be blk/tans, blk/tans pie. chocolate is recessive to blk/tan and both parents need to carry for it to produce it.
