female choch&tan and the male blk&tan dap, both are shothair what colors will we get out of the litter, also the females mother was a long hair can we hope for any of the babies to be longhair

You have a 1 in 4 chance of getting a long hair, but it will be a short long hair. I believe black and tan is dominate over chocolate and tan.

You should get 50% dapple and 50% solid, probably black/tan unless your black/tan carries chocolate gene. I just bred a smooth black/tan to a smooth choc. I got all black/tans which will carry chocolate. 3 were smooth and 1 had long hair. My male's father had long hair. Lots of time, it is just wait and see. Happy Thanksgiving!
