When is it normal to pay the stud fee; when you first get the dogs together, when the pregnancy is confirmed, or when she delivers? I've gotten my little girl together with him two days in a row and and they cant seem to figure it out. If she doesn't concieve, do I still owe them the stud fee?

The fee may be $300 to $500, or the best pick from the litter. Unless she is in heat, he will not be interested. Also, a dog less than 1 rarely knows what to do. I hope that helps. The fee is not for delivery, just if he mates and remain together for a few minutes. When dogs mate properly the get stuck for minutes to an hour.
