My dachshund was somewhat bred to my brother's dachshund. By this I mean that the male dog made penetration but there was no tie. Can my dachshund still be pregnant? Are there any signs to watch for?

It depends on what time of the cycle she was in at the time. During the peak period, you may not need a tie. If pregnant she will probably be perfectly normal, and except eating more and sleeping more. They usually show in about 1 month.

Yes, you do not always have to have a tie for pregnancy to occur. One way that I can always tell is the firmness of their bags (udders, nipples).
