My 2 year old sable(mini) has just had 4 puppies. how do I determine what their colors are for registering?? Please advise, babies are 21/2 weeks old.

There are many colors, but on AKC papers you get theses choices, 007 Black- 010 Black & Cream 018 Black & Tan 044 Blue & Tan 071 Chocolate 072 Chocolate & tan 076 Cream 317 Fawn ( Isabella )& Tan 140 Red 224 Wheaten 226 Wild Boar. Then you have the pattern you need to mark too. If your pup is a red long hair, then you would mark red, the black hairs you see on smooth reds are not sable, but could be a shaded red if long hair, but is still marked red on AKC paper's. Telling what the colors are can sometimes be a hard thing too do in there first weeks of life.
