Bone ailments can be a result of poor nutrition, over feeding, over supplementing as well as excessive over exercising. PLEASE, remember that a BullMastiff puppy grows very quickly and carries a lot of weight while very young. Your puppy may look like an adult, but it is a puppy and needs puppy care. While your puppy does need to stretch his legs, it does not take much to tire him out. Do not take your puppy jogging, hiking or for long walks. Limit climbing steps until they are 6 months old. Exercise should be slow and minimal until puppy is 18 months old. Always supervise your puppy when playing with other dogs, puppies and children. Most structure damage is done within the first 18 months of a puppy’s life. Even though your puppy may seem grown up, his bones and joints are still young and developing until almost three years. NEVER teach your PUPPY to do anything you would not want him to do as a 100+ lb. ADULT.
