Health Guarantee
The health guarantee shown is posted by this member. It is not, nor does it imply, a guarantee by QualityDogs.com, an endorsement by QualityDogs.com of this guarantee, or any verification of this guarantee by QualityDogs.com. The breeder listed is solely responsible for the content and satisfaction of this guarantee. For your protection, QualityDogs.com recommends obtaining a printed, signed copy of any health guarantee.
Below is my SHOW/HEALTH GUARANTEE and similar to my PET/HEALTH Guarantee. The difference with my Pet Guarantee from the one below is that you would receive limited instead of full AKC (limited akc does not include the show quality guarantee) and all pets are sold on SPAY/NEUTER contracts.

Health Guarantee and Purchase Agreement

Seller warrants the following: Puppy/Dog is in sound health at time of sale, and should be inspected by a licensed veterinarian within 3 business days of arrival. Not having the Puppy/Dog examined within this time period voids the guarantee. Seller guarantees the Puppy/Dog to be free of Parvo and/or Distemper for a period of 5 days. If Puppy/Dog is found to have either/or, the Buyer is to contact the Seller within 24 hours of this finding. Not doing so will null/void the guarantee. Seller has the option of asking for the return of the Puppy/Dog, and if requested, Buyer must return Puppy/Dog at his/her expense within 72 hours. Seller will replace said Puppy/Dog upon receiving a signed vet statement of such findings, and after return of all original paperwork, signed back over to Seller. Seller will replace said Puppy/Dog when one of equal value becomes available. The Seller determines “Equal Value”. Again, Vet & Shipping Expenses Are The Responsibility of the Buyer.

Other Genetic Warranty: If within two years of age, 2 licensed veterinarians of the from separate clinics certify that the puppy is unfit for purchase due to a congenital or hereditary disorder including but not limited to Liver, Lungs, Eyes, Heart Murmur (only one which adversely affects the health of the animal); does not include: Injuries, hernias (unless found at initial vet visit within 72 hours of purchase), Under and/or Overbites, diabetes, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia or allergies.

Hypoglycemia is guaranteed within first 10 days only, as this can be brought on by poor diet and lack of proper rest. We recommend only high quality/grain free/holistic foods. Many treats have high fructose corn syrup and sugar, which can bring on low blood sugar problems. By 10 days you would know if your puppy came to you with a blood sugar problem and then we would grant replacement puppy per replacement conditions in first paragraph. If hypoglycemia is suspected the buyer must notify and return to seller immediately! Under no condition is the seller responsible for the loss or death due to hypoglycemia.
If a congenital or hereditary defect does occur, the buyer must return the puppy along with a letter from two licensed veterinarians outlining the conditions or illness that puppy is exhibiting. A replacement puppy of the same value will be provided.

The Seller determines “Equal Value”. Again, Vet & Shipping Expenses Are The Responsibility of the Buyer No cash refunds will be given. If the buyer prefers a puppy that is priced higher than the original one they bought, they are responsible for the difference. If the buyer decides to treat the puppy and keep it the seller is released from all obligations and guarantees.
If puppy is diagnosed as having a disabling, crippling, or deadly genetic defect, which does result in death or euthanasia, and buyer wants to apply to seller for credit towards a new puppy, then buyer must pay for a post-mortem necropsy (autopsy) to prove genetic defect causing death. Necropsy will be performed at buyer’s expense. In addition, a photo of the deceased puppy/dog must be sent with the necropsy report for I.D. verification. Under no circumstances is purchased puppy to be euthanized without Sellers knowledge and consent.

Seller does not warrant against the following:

Molera – It is acceptable for the Chihuahua to have a molera, and should not be considered a flaw (you can find supporting information on the Chihuahua Club of America Website and the AKC Website).

Luxating Patella’s – If Buyer has bought the Puppy/Dog for breeding/show (full AKC), and finds Puppy/Dog to have severe luxation within 12 months of purchase, Seller will offer replacement (Sellers Discretion) upon return of Puppy/Dog and all documents signed over to Seller. Return of said Puppy/Dog will be at the Buyers expense. I do not offer a guarantee on patellas for Puppies/Dogs sold as pet only (as injuries can cause this). For Full AKC sold Chihuahuas,
due to possible injuries while in the Buyers care this has to be
evaluated on a case-by-case merit by two Licensed Vets and these
costs are the responsibility of the Buyer. (We have never produced a puppy with bad knees). We do require a full in-depth investigation from two Licensed Vets to determine if the problem is Patella Luxation or Injury. Types of Injuries are as follows: 1. Cranial Cruciate Ligament Rupture which occurs suddenly from traumatic injury (This ligament holds the upper leg bone (Femur) to the lower leg bone (Tibia). 2. Patella Fracture which usually occurs due to a direct blow to the knee cap.

3. Patella Tendon rupture which can be caused by stepping wrong up to steps or down stairs etc. 4. Collateral Ligament injury. We do not
warranty Patella Luxation if caused by injury.

Backward Sneezing – This is a common element in Chihuahuas when they get excited, and has not been found to impose a health risk.

FULL AKC SHOW Guarantee Terms: There is no guarantee on COLOR or COAT. When show puppies are purchased at the Full Show Price and not a Reduced Pet Price the Seller does guarantee Breed Ability up to the age of 30 months and not before the age of 24 months. Also up to 1 year of age for Full AKC Price only we guarantee: proper scissor bite or level bite (only if proof of removal of any baby teeth that did not fall out on their own is done by 10 months of age), both descended testicles on males, breed standard weight to be at or under 6 pounds and no hernias. We do not guarantee personality or trainability. If any of the above guaranteed issues are found with a Puppy/Dog sold at Full AKC price the dog will be replaced (When one of equal value, which is determined by the Seller, becomes available) after puppy/dog is returned to Seller and all paperwork must be signed back over to Seller and returned to Seller. Breeder determines when the puppy/ dog may be returned. If the Buyer chooses to keep the Puppy/Dog and it was purchased at Full Show Price, no exchange or refund will be granted. Returning of Puppy/Dog is always at the Buyers expense.

De-worming- Please Do not allow your Vet to "auto" de-worm a puppy under 6 months of age unless the fecal exam shows worms or parasites.

Vaccines: Distemper-Parvo-Parainfluenza- Adeno-2-Hepatitis ( called a 4-way) Some Veterinarians offer a 3-way shots and Seller prefers this. Puppy shots are to be given at no less than 4 week intervals. Though we recommend only doing just 1 final puppy shot at 15-16 weeks of age after we have given them their first between 7-10 weeks depending on when they were weaned. Never get the LEPTO in the vaccines unless there is an immediate outbreak danger in your area. Lepto is only common to hot muggy climates and the vaccine is very strong for little Chihuahua puppies.

Rabies: Rabies vaccine must be given alone and not combined with any other vaccines, nor should the Rabies vaccine be given closer then 1 month of any other vaccines. Most Vets will permit you to hold off on Rabies until your puppy is 6 to 8 months old or older. Also, ask your vet to use the 3 year rabies shot versus the one year.

Page 3 Initials ___

Although the first rabies shot will be a one year select the 3 year every time after for the health of your pet.

We reserve the right to NOT warranty the puppy’s health if:
1. The vaccines Corona, Lepto or Giardia vaccines are given during the warranty period.
2. Rabies is given before 4 months or administered with any other vaccines.
3. Bortedella is given within 4 weeks of buyer taking possession. Please hold off on this vaccine until the puppy is at least 6 months old.
4. Heartworm Medications- Brain and liver warranty will void if puppies are given this medication under 12 months of age. Often consists of a low dose ivermectin and some sensitive puppies and dogs can develop seizures or liver problems.

Buyer warrants that he/she will not knowingly offer this Puppy/Dog or any of its offspring to brokers, pet shops, or puppy mills. If the Buyer ever needs to find the Puppy/Dog a new home, Buyer will give Seller first option to buy the Puppy/Dog back. Under no circumstances will this Puppy/Dog be surrendered to a shelter or put to sleep without first consulting with the Seller. To ship or for us to pick the Puppy/Dog up will be at the Buyer’s expense.

Per agreement of the Seller and Buyer the Puppy/Dog will be raised within the home and not in a kennel or outdoors.

At no time will our Chihuahuas be used in a designer/hybrid breeding program.

There are no other guarantees/warranties given, expressed or written, other than those stated in the above contract. Any changes must be made on paper, and signed by both Seller and Buyer. Should any disputes arise with the Buyer/Seller that cannot be resolved between the parties; either party may seek resolution through legal means. Both parties agree (Buyer/Seller) jurisdiction will be within the State of Minnesota.

It is required for the Buyer to send the Seller "ALL" Show Win Photographs. The pictures may be sent via email, attachments to puppies@tinychi.com.

The seller is not responsible for any veterinarian charges that the buyer incurs while in care of said puppy.
