Joan Lanum, owner, guarantees that the puppy is a pedigreed animal whose parents and litter are registered with the American Kennel Club. Joan Lanum further stipulates that the puppy has had at least one upper respiratory/parvo vaccination, has had at least two negative fecal checks, and is free from parasitic infestations. Both parents have hip x-rays screened by an experienced veterinarian graduated from Tufts. X-rays have been submitted to OFA for evaluation with no abnormalities present. In addition, the mother has had elbows and knees evaluated by OFA and eyes examined by a board certified veterinary opthomologist. The puppy is guaranteed free from any life threatening genetic disorder for a period of 2 years. Within that period of time, should a veterinary examination determine the dog is suffering from a lethal genetic disorder, Joan Lanum will provide a dog/puppy replacement or if not available, a refund of the purchase price at the earliest possible date. All veterinary expenses are to be assumed by the purchaser unless agreed to by Joan Lanum PRIOR to any veterinary procedure. No refund of purchase price or replacement will be made unless the puppy is examined by the purchaser's veterinarian within seven days of purchase or unless otherwise noted in this contract. The cost for this exam is the responsibility of the buyer. Should the buyer's veterinarian determine that the puppy is in any way unhealthy, buyer should contact Joan Lanum immediately and inform her of the results of the examination. Should return of the puppy be deemed necessary, Joan Lanum will refund the purchase cost of the puppy. It is understood that this puppy is being sold as a "pet" and must therefore be spayed or neutered. Cost of this procedure is the responsibility of the buyer. Spay of a female should not be considered before 6 months of age.
This contract is considered legal and binding to all who sign.
