Terms and Conditions of Sale
The following agreement is between ________________________________________________, hereafter referred to as “Breeder” and _______________________________________________, hereafter referred to as “Purchaser” for the sale of one purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from
AKC litter #________________________.

Whereas Breeder is the owner of the above-described puppy and whereas purchaser is desirous of purchasing the puppy described above; now, therefore, in consideration of the sum of ____________, Breeder hereby conveys one AKC registerable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel under the following warranties and conditions, and no other warranties or conditions expressed or implied.
1. The breeder warrants the puppy to be in good health at the time of sale, however, the breeder
encourages the purchaser to have the puppy seen by a veterinarian of purchaser’s choice and expense
within 72 hours of picking up puppy. If any major health problems are found, said puppy may be
returned to breeder within 72 hours of purchase and exchanged for the next available puppy of
equal value or purchaser may choose to receive full refund. All cost associated with the exchange of
the puppies are the purchaser’s expense. Other conditions, Should puppy die from genetic or congenital condition before one year of age, breeder will replace puppy at no charge
2. That all appropriate shots for the puppy’s age have been given, and a record of this vaccination
history is supplied. The purchaser agrees to maintain the puppy’s health in good condition
and provide yearly examinations, vaccinations, etc; If for whatever reason, purchaser cannot keep
said puppy for its lifetime, breeder retains first rights of refusal.
3. Breeder reserves the right to affix the kennel name “Monticello” as a prefix to the puppy’s AKC
registered name. The purchaser agrees to purchase the puppy with limited AKC registration papers,
which will prohibit breeding and restrict entry at some AKC dog events. Purchaser further agrees
that this puppy will be spayed/neutered by one year of age and purchaser will forward a veterinarian
confirmation of this procedure to the breeder. AKC registration application and correct pedigree
will be furnished to purchaser when verification of spay/neuter has been received by the breeder.
Purchaser further agrees that if this puppy is bred, purchaser will pay breeder a sum of $10,000.00
plus any court cost associated with the collection of these monies. Purchaser agrees that any legal
litigation will be held in the State and County of Breeder.
