If within seventy-two (72) hours, the purchaser is dissatisfied with the dog, the purchaser may return it to the seller and the seller will refund all money paid toward the purchase price. If the dog is returned during the 72 hour period, seller shall not be responsible for any expenses incurred by the purchaser (veterinarian, food, supplies, etc.) Dog must be in same condition as at time of original purchase. Health records and pedigree will be furnished upon delivery of puppy to new owner(s).
AKC registration papers will be furnished on receipt of full payment. Purchaser may choose own registered name for the dog but will use the Nautika prefix in doing so.
Pet puppy terms
_______ This puppy is sold as a pet. The AKC registration will be a limited one – may not be shown in conformation nor will any of its get be registered by the AKC. If the seller and purchaser mutually agree that the dog is to be shown or bred at some future time, the limited registration may be rescinded upon application to the AKC and the purchaser’s payment of the fee.
If the dog is found to have a serious congenital defect within one (1) year from date of sale, the seller agrees to replace dog free of charge upon receipt of a Certificate of Euthanasia or return of the dog (at seller’s choice). Seller reserves the right to have the dog examined by a veterinarian of his/her own choosing (at seller’s expense) before a final decision is made as to the seriousness of the defect.
Show/breeding prospect terms
________ This puppy is sold as a show/breeding prospect. The AKC registration is a full one. Purchaser may choose own registered name for the dog but will use the Nautika prefix in doing so.
This dog may not be used for breeding until all appropriate health tests have been passed:
If this dog develops any disqualifying conformation faults within 1 year of date of sale or any serious congenital defects within 2 years of date of sale, the sellers agree to:
1) replace dog with another show quality puppy under same terms as this contract at no charge upon return of dog to sellers
-OR-
2) refund $500 of purchase price upon proof of neutering of dog
-OR-
3) upon proof of neutering of dog, sell owner(s) another show quality puppy under same terms as this contract at a pet price.
Purchaser unable to keep dog
If the purchaser is unable to keep the dog for any reason, the seller has the right of first refusal before the dog is offered for sale or otherwise disposed of. If dog is to be given away, the seller will help place the dog if at all possible or take the dog back pending placement in another home.
Purchaser agrees that this dog will not be sold to a pet shop or puppy mill, nor will any of its get.
