PURCHASE AGREEMENT RECEIPT
The following agreement is between Carol Faulhaber, hereafter referred to as "Breeder and _______________________, hereafter referred to as "BUYER" for the sale and purchase of one purebred dog of the Doberman Pinscher breed.
In consideration of a purchase price of $________, of which three hundred dollars is a nonrefundable deposit, the BREEDER transfers all rights, privileges and responsibilities associated with the ownership of a (sex) ________ dog of the Doberman Pinscher breed to BUYER as of the date and time specified below. This represents the entire agreement between the breeder and the buyer in an outright sale.
It is agreed between Breeder and Buyer that this dog is being acquired as a family companion dog or as a working dog to be used for tasks appropriate to its breed, or for exhibition in AKC conformation, obedience, or agility competition. The breeders will use their best judgment and the advice of other fanciers in evaluating the puppies as to show or pet quality. There is no guarantee that a puppy evaluated as "Show Quality" will be successful in the show ring as an adult and no warranties are made to that effect.
We agree that the dog is not purchased for resale nor will it be used or trained for activities which are illegal or for which it is not suited by reason of temperament or conformation. Specifically it will not be used as an attack dog or to hunt or fight other animals.
~HEALTH GUARANTEE~
At the time of the sale Breeder believes the PUPPY is a parasite free, healthy, sound, quality puppy that has been examined by the BREEDER’S veterinarian and is current on all vaccinations. Puppy’s health is guaranteed for 72 hours after pick-up or shipment. BUYER agrees to have puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of their choice within 72 hours. If the veterinarian detects a problem within that period, a full refund of purchase price or a replacement puppy of equal value will be provided, if one is available, upon the return of puppy and registration papers. BUYER must provide a written statement from the examining veterinarian detailing the health problem. If BUYER fails to have puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian or if the BUYER decides to keep the puppy after discovering a problem, the BREEDER will not be responsible for any veterinary costs incurred. BREEDER has the right to have the puppy examined by a veterinarian of the breeder’s choice, at BREEDER’S expense, for a second opinion. BREEDER makes no other guarantees with regard to the health or conformation of purchased puppy. BREEDER strongly encourages BUYER to have the dog seen by a Veterinarian of the buyer’s choice within 72 hours of picking up the dog.
Said dog may be returned to the breeder for any reason within the 72 hours following purchase, provided that the dog has not been damaged in any way. BUYER will then be entitled to a refund of the original purchase price less the nonrefundable deposit.
The breeder certifies that the dog is eligible for registration under the Regulations of the American Kennel Club as a purebred Doberman Pinscher and will provide forms for such a registration.
BUYER agrees to maintain the dog in a humane environment and properly train and care for it. Specifically the dog will be properly licensed and inoculated against rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and other communicable diseases as recommended by a qualified veterinarian.
In the event that the buyer is unable to keep the dog or provide an appropriate home in accordance with this agreement, the dog will be returned to the breeder. BUYER agrees to notify the breeder if any such contingency arises and will not abandon the dog to a shelter or sell or give the dog away.
