Guarantee of Good Health
We hope that you will enjoy your puppy for years to come. We have taken steps to ensure that your new puppy is healthy. Your puppy has been selectively bred for excellent quality, health, soundness, intelligence and good temperament:
If there is a congenital defect within one year from birth, and it can be surgically corrected for less than the cost of a replacement, we will pay the cost of surgery (not the tests or doctors visits leading up to the surgery) up to the price you paid for your puppy.
If it cannot be surgically corrected:
o The dog must be humanely put to sleep, and a letter stating such must be received by us from your Vet. (Understand, the pup would not live anyway in a serious illness)
o You must send us the dogs papers.
o The dog must carry our kennel name in it's name.
o The dog must never have been used for breeding, and still be with it's original owner.
After these qualifications have been met, you may choose a replacement pup (of equal quality), buyer pays shipping, from any of our litters subject to availability, paying the difference in price if you desire a more expensive puppy. No cash refunds are given.
Our guarantee does not include poisoning, accidents, or behavioral problems, as training philosophies and environments vary amongst individuals.
Hip Dysplasia Guarantee :
In the unlikely event that a German Shepherd Dog is suspected of being dysplastic in it's first two years, this is the procedure to follow:
o Notify us by Letter with receipts for Eagle Pack Dog food.
o Submit the x-ray to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, University of Missouri- Columbia MO 65210
o If the OFA finds the dog to be " Dysplastic', then to qualify for a replacement:
o The dysplastic dog must be put to sleep by your vet, and a letter from him/her must be sent to us stating that this has been done. The letter must also state that the animal has not been overfed for its height/structure, and has received regular check-ups.
o The papers for the dog must be sent to us and transferred to our name.
o The dog must have been x-rayed for this condition before its second birthday, but not before 1 yr. (sometimes an early x-ray will not portray true results during growth spurts).
o The dog must never have been used for breeding, not be overweight, and must still be with it's original owner.
o No replacement will be given if the dog has been over exercised during their growth period (until 1.5 years), which is running with or "Jumping" the dog excessively in play.

After these qualifications have been met, you may choose a replacement pup (of equal quality) from any of our litters, subject to availability, paying the difference in price if you desire a more expensive puppy (as our prices do change occasionally). No cash refunds are given. No further or previous guarantees are implied either verbally, written, or otherwise stated.

We recommend that you take your pup to your vet for a check-up within the first l0 days after receiving the pup. We, as the seller, have already supplied the shots to this point. We require you to keep your pup on a regular vaccination schedule and routine worming by a licensed Vet. Because of the variety and quality of dog foods available (and all canine illness are NOT covered by vaccination), we require that all Von der Stadtrand dogs and dogs purchased through Von der Stadtrand German Shepherds be kept on Eagle Pack Large and Giant Puppy Formula for the first year of life and Eagle Pack Original Adult Formula for the remainder of its life. www.eaglepack.com

This guarantee is null and void if the puppy is spayed/neutered prior to 15 months of age.

As the seller, I certify that this dog/puppy is free from illness and defects, and does not appear clinically ill from parasitic infestations. All information provided is true to the best of my knowledge and belief.
