Chivalry English Springer Spaniels
This agreement is between the above listed parties referred to below as buyer and seller concerning the purchase of the English Springer Spaniel puppy described above. This puppy is being sold to the buyer for the sum of $1500.00 all of which is non-refundable under the following conditions. It is understood that this puppy is being purchased as a family pet.
This puppy will be accompanied by an AKC registration, certified pedigree, vaccination & worming dates, documentation for OFA and CERF of both sire and dam.
1. The puppy will be a housedog, provided with a safe enclosure for exercise. The puppy will not be tied or allowed to run loose without supervision.
2. The buyer shall be the full owner of this puppy and has the
responsibility to live with and care for the puppy for as long as it lives.
3. The buyer shall take all reasonable steps to keep the puppy in good health by providing proper care, feeding, grooming, training using humane methods and adequate veterinary care including maintaining all vaccinations, de-worming when required and proper parasite control including heartworm medications.
4. This puppy is in good health at the time of this sale. It is suggested that the buyer has the puppy examined by his own veterinarian within 7 days after purchase. If the puppy is found not be in good health, other than the result of injury, the buyer may return the puppy to the seller and be refunded the full purchase price. After 7 calendar days the buyer assumes responsibility for the puppy’s health.
5. This puppy is not intended for breeding. Breeding stock of Chivalry English Springer Spaniels is selected carefully with pre-breeding health tests such as hip x-rays graded by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals and yearly eye exams by a certified veterinary ophthalmologist to ensure healthy additions are added to this breed’s population.
6. This puppy will be spayed/neutered by the age of 7 months.
7. This puppy will be accompanied with AKC registration paperwork for limited registration which entitles the buyer to such dog activities as obedience, agility, tracking, hunting tests, etc with this puppy.
8. For the purposes of naming this puppy on AKC registration the seller shall include Chivalry’s to be used as the first word in the puppy’s registered name.
9. Every effort shall be made by the buyer to properly socialize this puppy. This puppy will attend and graduate from a formal obedience class before one year of age.
10. The seller offers guarantees on this puppy’s temperament that it will be a happy, and sane addition to the buyer’s family providing it has received adequate medical care and has been through a formal training session of basic obedience lessons taught by an accredited instructor using humane methods.
11. Should this puppy develop a severe temperament problem, which the seller feels is not environmentally caused by the buyer, due to a medical problem, mistreatment or neglect the seller will replace the puppy when it is either euthanized or returned to the seller.
12. The seller guarantees this puppy to be free from hip-dysplasia until the age of 2 years.
13. The seller guarantees this puppy to be free from eye diseases causing blindness until the age of 2 years.
14. The buyer understands that English Springer Spaniels can be affected with other medical problems throughout the course of life which are not covered in this guarantee. Please notify the breeder if such a condition presents itself. It is crucial to the betterment of the seller’s breeding program.
15. The seller guarantees against only those health guarantees outlined in this agreement for which there are prior clearances available at this time. The seller has the right to use her discretion, seek expert opinions, and use her best judgment in the matter of all guarantees.
16. If this puppy develops hip-dysplasia, eye diseases causing blindness within 2 years of its life, the buyer may return the puppy to the seller for a replacement puppy when one becomes available of the seller’s choice from a future litter of the seller’s choice.
17. No monetary refund will be offered except the replacement puppy of equal value to the puppy sold. Should the owner choose to keep ownership of a puppy affected with any health problems above, a replacement puppy will still be available to the buyer should the buyer have an appropriate living situation to accommodate an additional puppy, or when the affected animal becomes deceased.
18. The seller shall not be responsible for any medical costs associated with this puppy other than those stated in this agreement unless the puppy is returned to the seller.
19. During the course of this puppy’s life if the buyer can no longer maintain the costs or care of the puppy the buyer MUST return the puppy to the seller. The buyer may not transfer the ownership of this puppy to another person, or organization without the seller’s written permission.
20. The buyer shall maintain contact with the seller to inform of new address changes throughout this puppy’s life. And the seller shall do the same.
I agree to all the conditions stated in this agreement between buyer and seller.
