Owner Contract
The new owner contract shown is a sample posted by this member as a representative of the agreement you would enter into prior to obtaining a puppy/dog from this breeder. It is not, nor does it imply, a contract with or guarantee by QualityDogs.com, endorsement by QualityDogs.com of this contract, or any responsibility, express or implied, by QualityDogs.com. The seller warrants this puppy to be healthy at the time of sale. The purchaser agrees to take the above-mentioned pet to a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of purchase for a puppy wellness check. This is to verify that the pet is in good health. A vaccine does NOT need to be given at this exam. If the puppy should be determined to be in ill health, by cause that is clearly attributable to the seller, the pet may be returned for a replacement pet of equal value. The choice to be determined by the seller. If the pet should develop a MAJOR communicable disease, such as distemper, leptospirosis, hepatitis or parvovirus within 10 days from the date of receipt of the pet, the seller must be notified immediately and will provide instructions for treatment. Any veterinarian’s diagnosis shall be subject to confirmation by a veterinarian chosen by the seller. Purchaser is aware of vaccinations and all medical treatment already provided by the seller. They are also aware that they are responsible for the remainder of the vaccinations in the series as recommended by current veterinary standards. Failure to provide vaccines may result in the pet acquiring a fatal disease, all warranties will be void should this occur. This pet has been sold on limited registration. Breeding rights are not sold with the pet. This protects our pedigree and the pet from exploitation. We require spaying/neutering of this pet after 6 months of age. We warranty the temperament under normal conditions of stress for the period of one year. Pets returned under the premise of temperament issues are subjected to observation by the breeder. Should a temperament problem be identified, replacement of the pet will follow. Warranties for hip, heart or eye problems are in the form of a partial refund, depending on the severity of the problem. Please be advised that a puppy is a serious time commitment. Refunds are not given should you decide this commitment is beyond your capabilities, however a puppy bred here is always welcome back to our home should a situation arise where you are unable to keep this pet.
