Health Guarantee for Schnauzers Of Taylor – AKC Registered1) 48 Hour Health Warranty: This puppy is in good health to the best of my knowledge by my own observation and using a seasoned veterinarian’s for exam and microchip insertion. Buyer has 48 hours to have their new puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian, excluding Saturday & Sunday. Puppies picked up on Friday, must see vet on Monday. Failure to have the puppy checked within these 48 hours voids the guarantees. The puppy may not been given any vaccinations within 7 days of delivery, without written approval from breeder. All vaccines must be administered by a licensed veterinarian. The breeder holds the right to have the puppy re-examined by their veterinarian to validate. Ear cropping and any vet expenses incurred by the buyer will not be refunded. Seller guarantees against fatal viruses for 72 hours after purchase. These include, but are not limited to, PARVO, DISTEMPER, CORONA. No guarantee on fatal viruses after 72 hours. We also cannot guarantee that your puppy will never develop any health problems, just like a pediatrician cannot guarantee that a child will never develop any health problems in the future. Some things are just not able to be predicted. Our parents are free of diseases, disorders, and health problems, or we would not breed them. That means the puppies are less likely to develop problems. In any case though, we would try to make right.2) 1 , 2 or 3 Year Health Guarantee: If the buyer’s veterinarian discovers the puppy to be unsound for pet quality, it can be returned within the two day Health Warranty period for a cash refund. . This request must be accompanied by a certified letter from the veterinarian of why the pup is unsound, with a life threatening defect, there from birth and could not be a pet. The breeder has the option to replace the puppy with a puppy of breeder’s said equal value. The breeder may refund the price of the puppy. The buyer is responsible for all fees, except price of the puppy. If for some reason after the 2 day period a life threatening condition that was not discovered by the breeders veterinarian or the buyers veterinarian and not treatable by medication, the breeder will replace the puppy within _____ year(s). The breeder may offer to replace with another pup from another reputable breeder. Breeder will not replace or refund for any personal reasons, but not limited to, allergies, mortality, landlord’s disapproval, family disagreement or any other problems not related to health, nor for a puppy’s illness caused by neglect, exposure to weather, injury, choking, poisoning, etc. Breeder does not guarantee for any type hernias, patella luxation, cancer or retained testicles. Breeder does not guarantee environmental allergies, food allergies, teeth not falling out, over or under bites, minor heart murmurs level 1 or 2, hypoglycemia or thyroid issues. Small dogs do have trouble with bites when baby teeth that do not fall out are not removed, failing to do so cause the other teeth to grow in crooked. They are not life threatening diseases. The breeder does not guarantee against unknown defective genes that does not produce an illness within the guarantee period. The breeder holds the right to have the puppy re-examined by their veterinarian to validate for any life threatening diseases. The guarantee also excludes conditions that arise from obesity or senior ailments, such as blindness, diabetes, etc. Breeder does not guarantee against common puppy issues such as but not limited to coccidia, which can be caused by stress, worms, giardia, ear mites or kennel cough. These are common puppy ailments and can easily be treated. Your puppy has been treated on a schedule from the age of 2 weeks for these conditions and it is now the Buyers responsibility to continue on any needed treatments and have the puppy checked for parasites on a regular basis. No guarantee is also given on hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) which is preventable. All AKC papers and medical records must be returned. Note: The breeder cannot guarantee size. The breeder can only estimate the size based of weight and the size of the parents. Puppies could grow larger or stay smaller than projected size, the same as children. Breeder cannot guarantee ears will stay floppy, anything can happen in schnauzer ears. Breeder does not guarantee color, coat quality, or reproductive capability or lifespan of puppy. This puppy is PET quality only.3) Public Exposure: Although you may be tempted to rush your pup to the pet store, parks, etc. to show off your new pup, until they have received all vaccines and rabies, you expose your new baby to unnecessary risks, including having a stranger pet your new pup. Avoid the temptation and show pictures. Doing any of the above before vaccines are completed will void the Health Warranty. As a rule I do not take my dogs out until they are approx 6 months old and then in a zipped doggy buggy and I tell strangers who want to pet my dogs, politely of course, no. You don’t know where their hands have been, especially in big pet stores.4) Death of puppy within 1 year: If for any reason the puppy dies within the 1 year period due to a supposed genetic defect, an autopsy examination by an accredited institution set up to do such exams, such as a university such as Texas A&M, must accompany the request for a refund. Autopsies done by a local veterinarian is not accepted. The owner of the pup will pay the expenses. Shipping, ear cropping, and any vet expenses incurred by the buyer will not be refunded. All registration documents must be returned.5) Abuse & Neglect: This guarantee is null and void upon any evidence of abuse or neglect. This includes failure to complete vaccinations, worming and puppy checks with a qualified veterinarian. Proof of said maintenance must be furnished upon request of breeder. You have purchased this a pet and family member and it is expected that Buyer will treat with love and kindness.6) Registration: Failure register your pet vet voids this contract. Failure to update micro-chip info with registration company voids contract. Breeder not responsible for terms of microchip registration company changing during life of the dog.7) Vaccines: Vaccines must be no less than three weeks apart and no more than four weeks apart for a series of three. Rabies vaccines cannot be administered before 16 weeks of age. No Lepto vaccines may be administered. If you allow your veterinarian to do any of these vaccinations the Health Warrantee if void. Internal flea preventatives should not be used and will void your guarantee. Monthly heartworm preventative is required or it will void your guarantee. Buyer agrees to keep records and record of quality food. Failure to abide by these terms will void the Health Guarantee. 8) Reproduction: Any dog that has sired or whelped one or more pups is no longer covered under this guarantee. 9) Registration: This puppy is sold with AKC registration as PET quality only.10) Changing Possession: If for any time the Buyer can no longer retain possession of the dog, the Breeder is to be contacted and given the first option to resume full ownership. The price will be mutually agreed upon by both parties. This would consider the costs incurred by the Breeder in caring for the dog and locating to a new home. The dog will be returned with their veterinarian records and all paperwork issued for the dog, including any AKC registration documents. Breeder is always willing to take dog back at no cost to breeder at anytime in their life. Breeder does not want any of their dogs in any shelter or rescue. Breeder must approve new home. Breeder must be contacted when Buyer moves with new contact information.
