THIS IS A GENERAL SALES CONTRACT TO CLARIFY TERMS FOR THE BUYER (YOU) AND THE SELLER (PARTY RATS KENNEL) TO PROTECT THE WELFARE OF ALL OF OUR PUPPIES.
Being a breeder means being responsible for the puppies being sold. Therefore, at Party Rats Kennel, we will take the puppy/dog back at ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON, if you need to relinquish the dog. It also means that in order for us to properly fulfill our responsibility to our puppies, the buyer MUST agree to certain terms, and provide RELIABLE references. In signing this contract, you the buyer agree to the following terms:
1. If there are any behavior/health problems with your puppy, you will notify Party Rats Kennel immediately. It is important for us to keep detailed records on all of our dogs/puppies to be able to provide the utmost accurate information to future buyers. If we cannot help you with the problem, we will do our best to locate someone who can. Initial: _______
2. You will notify Party Rats Kennel if you have a change of address or phone number. This information is completely confidential and we will NOT provide the information to anyone else without your written permission. With this information, we can inform you of any health issues, which may arise; allergies, etc. Initial: ______
3. If for some reason you have to part with your puppy/dog, you will inform Party Rats Kennel so that we can take the dog back OR actively assist you with the placement in a proper home, APPROVED BY US. AGAIN, Party Rats Kennel WILL take the puppy/dog back at any time to ensure none of our dogs EVER end up in a facility of any kind, turned loose, or neglected/put to sleep due to no home. Party Rats Kennel reserves the right to void above contract should the dog be found by us, after no effort by owner. Dog will be treated as though it has been surrendered back to us. Owner loses all ownership for negligence to dog. Initial: __

REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE:
Puppies/dogs are sold in good faith, with no known health concerns. They are sold with first shots (6 weeks), tails docked, dew claws removed, worming done at 4/6/8 weeks, examined by a licensed veterinarian confirming the health of the animal. *Second shots are given at 10 weeks if puppy has not been delivered. If purchasing an older puppy, shots, worming are kept current until date of delivery to buyer.
Within 5 business days from date of delivery, buyer must take said dog/puppy to a licensed veterinarian to ensure good health of dog/puppy. If dog/puppy is not in good health, buyer has the option of returning said dog/puppy, original registration papers, and signed statement from veterinarian stating the exact condition of the dog/puppy. The dog/puppy will be REPLACED with a dog/puppy of equal value when available, due to timing of litters. REPLACEMENTS NOT REFUNDS are given upon buyer meeting above health examination requirements.
**Seller reserves the right to require a second documented veterinarian opinion should there be a serious illness found in said puppy that left with no illness.

Seller assumes no responsibility for the dog after leaving sellers care, including but not limited to: Medical expenses, mortality, landlord approval, allergy to animal by buyer or buyers family, disagreements of family, or for any other reason. It is further understood and agreed that no warranties of any nature, either expressed or implied have been made with respect to the purchased animal other than those written in the contract.
I have been advised to refrain from raising puppy on slippery surfaces, allowing free run of stairs, and jumping. I understand these factors can lead to negative conditions at an early age, before bone growth is completed at adulthood and will make this guarantee null and void. Initial: _________

I agree to inform Party Rat’s Kennel if for any reason we must place said dog/puppy in a new home, PRIOR TO DOING SO as new owner must complete contract with PRK to ensure an acceptable home has been found. I will not release said dog/puppy to any laboratories, animal shelters, or pet stores. I agree to give seller first option to the welfare of this dog, if unable to keep, at buyer’s expense, as no refunds are given. PRK reserves the right to re-home said dog. Seller MAY be able to arrange meeting/pickup, otherwise return is at owners expense. Initial: _______
I agree to provide front and side profile pictures of said dog/puppy when he/she reaches 1-year-old. I also will keep the seller up to date on any and all accomplishments achieved by my dog and myself. Initial: _______
**I agree to spay/neuter said Rat Terrier. Proof of spay/neuter WILL BE GIVEN TO PARTY RATS KENNEL BY END OF 6TH MONTH OF AGE.
***I agree to NOT place my dog on a chain/tie out of any kind as a form of restraint. He/She will be only restrained to “potty” and under supervision-leashed or fenced yard. I agree this dog will be a HOUSE PET, not kept outside or placed outside without supervision. I understand THEFTS ARE HIGH FOR SMALL DOGS, and they are wild animal bait, from Hawks, Coyotes, Coy Dogs, Bear, etc. Initial: _____
I have examined this dog/puppy and found it to be sound and healthy and am totally pleased and satisfied with him/her. I accept and adhere to the recommendation to feed QUALITY name brand dog food and vitamins for its lifetime, and to keep inoculations and heartworm prevention, as recommended by a licensed veterinarian, current. I will adhere to the advice given on training my puppy/dog so it will develop into the typical good-natured Rat Terrier, and not the “Spoiled Untrained Dog”. Initial: _________
I, as the buyer, agree that in no event shall the seller be responsible to refund the purchase price to me. The seller’s liability shall be to replace the animal, based on the sales contract. I, as the buyer, am responsible for any and all transportation costs, medical costs, for the return trip to the seller in order to receive replacement dog/puppy, based on the sales contract guarantee. I, as the buyer, understand this is a lifelong commitment and know that Party Rat’s Kennel has an “Open Door Policy” for questions, information, help, and even boarding. Initial: _____________
Our babies, no matter what their age, are our life, and we are always there for them no matter what. We have an open door policy and hope you as a buyer will take advantage of that and allow us the opportunity to “baby sit” at reasonable rates, if the need arises, rather than placing them in a kennel situation.

**Buyer understands that no guarantee is given on puppy mature size, as it is an approximate weight/height, based on growth and size of parents. Mini’s are under 13 inches tall, standards are over 13 inches tall, no distinction for weight, according to UKC Guidelines. UKC Registry does not recognize a different size for toys-they are considered mini’s under 13 inches. UKCI recognizes a separate “Toy” size as under 10 lbs, under 12 inches.
