Puppy Contract



Abbi, of Chisholm Trail Australian Shepherds (Seller), and the Buyer,____________________ hereby agree as follows:



1. The Seller hereby sells to the Buyer, for the amount of $____________, payment of which is hereby acknowledged, a male/female Australian Shepherd puppy, born on __________________________, out of __________________________________.



____A. Limited Registration, Never to be used for breeding purposes and to be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age.



____B. Full AKC &/or ASCA Registration, The puppy seems to be of breeding/show quality at the time of purchase. The breeder does not guarantee that the puppy purchased will be successful in breeding/show program. Full AKC &/or ASCA registration gives the buyer the right to breed/show the puppy purchased when it would be of breeding/show age. The breeder highly recommends that when the puppy is breeding age, be examined by a Veterinarian, to be assured that the dog would be of good health to whelp or sire puppies.



2. The Seller has registered the puppy with the AKC &/or ASCA and will provide the registration papers to the Buyer. If registration application was not supplied at the time of purchase, they will be mailed as soon as the seller receives them.



3. The Seller guarantees that the puppy is in good health on the date of purchase/delivery. The Buyer has 72 hours to have the puppy checked by a Veterinarian of their choice. If your Veterinarian finds anything wrong with the puppy that you are uncomfortable with, you may return the puppy along with the Veterinarian statement for a full refund. Please note that the Seller is not responsible for any Veterinarian costs.



4. The Buyer shall maintain the puppy in good condition, including adherence to a regular immunization schedule, heartworm preventative, good diet, clean and safe environment.



5. The Seller guarantees the puppy's genetic health for a period of two years.



6. If at any time in its life, the puppy is to be sold or given away, the Buyer shall give the Seller first option to buy the puppy back at the original purchase price.
