CERF Screening (Canine Eye Research Foundation)
Elbow Displasia (OFA, by X-Ray)
Hip Dysplasia (OFA or PennHIP)
Mucopolysaccharidosis VII (genetic test)

MondouCu German Shepherds are "hand raised, and pack trained". We carefully and moderately blend "lines" of dogs, focusing not just on the dogs in our possession, but tracking the health and phenotypes of the extended dog family. We raise pups and dogs in our home, as a modified pack, of which, we are the alphas. We do Not breed extreme sporting dogs or American Show "type". While we have the capability of consistantly producing pups with strong protection training aptitude, we generally do not breed these mates, unless the interest is sufficient to warrant the breeding.
We carefully monitor the health and temperament of dogs we place, as well as those we keep. We expect and maintain contact with our puppy purchasers for the life of the dog. We do not breed a large number of dogs, only to have those dogs returned, surrendered to "rescues", resold, or euthanized early due to health or temperament issues. Our temperaments are sound, our faults are few.
We are trainers first, breeders second. Our placements include family companions, personal and estate protection dogs, tracking specialists, therapy dogs. We are primarily a training facility, wherein pups begin "training" with ENS and other stimulation at 48 hours, graduating to starting potty training, play, name recognition, etc. at 4 weeks, and continued exposure to a variety of sights, sounds, smells, and surfaces during their early play.
Typically our puppy purchasers bring home a puppy who is nearly finished potty training, familiar with the crate, has name and "no" recognition, who will sit for a treat or attention, they are primed with the foundations of problem solving, and their learning is ready to expand into SAR, agility, Delta/TDI and of course amazing companions.
