Agreement of Sale of Puppy
1. Buyer will provide a safe indoor environment for puppy and take care of
puppy and provide adequate food and annual veterinary visits and kept up-to-date
on immunizations and a heartworm preventative.
2. The puppy is guaranteed to be healthy at time of sale. It is recommended that puppy is checked by a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of possession of puppy to its new owner. If puppy is sick, with a letter from veterinarian stating so, buyer notifies seller immediately, and returns the puppy and the full purchase price will be refunded immediately. The seller shall not be responsible for any veterinarian expenses incurred by the buyer.
3. The puppy is sold with a limited registration. This means the pup cannot be used for
breeding unless the following criteria is met and is pre-approved by the seller at the time of
sale. The limited registration will be lifted after the dog becomes a Champion, receive its
Utility title through NAVHDA AND/OR earns an AKC Hunt title Senior hunter or Master
hunter. The puppy is to be registered with prefix name of Keystone’s.
4. The guarantee covers your pup from 7 weeks of age to 7 years of age for hip dysplasia, Von Willebrand's Disease, Heart Disease, Epilepsy, cancer, Addison's Disease, OCD, eye disorders, and Lupoid Dermatosis. If one of these health situations arise and the dogs quality of life is compromised a refund up to the sell price of the puppy will be refunded.
5. If it becomes necessary for Seller or Buyer to retain an attorney due to Buyer or Seller breach of contract, Buyer shall become responsible for all of Seller attorneys fees and litigation shall take
place in Pike County, PA.
6. If buyer cannot keep the puppy for reasons other than the health of the puppy, the puppy is
to be returned to Keystone Gun Dogs in sound temperament and proof that the puppy is current
on vaccines including rabies and has a current dog license. Refunds are given only if the dog is
found unhealthy according to section #4 above.
7. Please do not let your puppy play or chew on rocks or acorns and do not leave your puppy unattended especially on decks that are high off the ground. Do not let your puppy jump off the tailgates of pickup trucks or jump off low decks. Do not jog or run with your puppy/dog until 3 years of age. Gentle exercise and a diet that promotes even, sustained growth is the ideal.
8. The breeder recommends pet health insurance for those unexpected emergencies.
Both parties enter this agreement with sincere intentions for the preservation of quality German Shorthaired Pointers and a mutual desire for the best interest of the breed.
