Ginger (her name describes her color) was abandoned in a pet friendly neighborhood and rescued by one of the neighbors. A number of others have contributed to her medical care, vaccinations, spaying, microchipping and heartworm treatment. Her foster mom thinks she is a 40 pound, 20 month old American Staffordshire/cattle dog mix. Ginger is high energy with some abandonment issues. Obedience training would be of benefit. She is a smart dog and would learn quickly. She needs a home where someone will play ball and Frisbee with her every day and take her on long walks.
Ginger is not a big snuggler, but enjoys being petted and talked to. She is crate trained and barks when she needs to go out. It may take her a while to feel safe and comfortable in her new home so she will require patience. She is a very sweet dog who gets along well with other dogs including being passive with male dogs. It is better that she goes to a home with no cats as she does chase them.
