Birthing Distress
|
|
I am on board to purchase a pup and just got word that the mom had distress during delivery. Birthed 3 pups, and then needed a C-section for the last 3, who later died.
I am wondering if anyone has any resources I can look to for researching the effect this might have on the integrity of the remaining three pups? Thanks! | | | |

It should not affect the puppies unless there was some pathogen involved that caused the death of the 3 that did not make it. Or if they were injured in some fashion during delivery.
As long as the mom is taking care of them and they got that first milk, and are thriving, then there is no concern really.
