Due to the over abundance of rain we've had in the Midwest and perhaps elsewhere,be aware of mushrooms in your grass, wilder areas, logs, stumps. Many start out as mere gooey white/grayish bumps just at ground level.Allowed to grow, they may take any form, one type came to my yard in a Pampas Grass 2 yrs ago,but they died.Last year & little rain nothing happened, this year the area planted with the decaying roots still inground, odd muschrooms appeared. My older girl, found them tasty(I think they have an appealing smell),came into the house frantic, panting, her body starting to be covered in hives. An allergic reaction I thought right away, gave two Benedryl & put her to bed.The hives went down.I don't think she got very much,a neigbors friend's ate more, but waited 2 days to see a vet, much worse, oozing sores.

So glad this didn't turn out worse for your girl.
