Hello, I have 2 small male dogs. One has a tendency to get aggressive but has been getting along well with my other dog up until about 1 week ago. He "guards" the dog house, back door and me. My other dog defends himself when necessary but usually just avoids him. What do I do?

First, please answer some questions so that we can help you better.

Are they neutered or intact?
How old are they?
How long have you had them?
What do you consider agressive?
What have you tried so far to stop these behaviors?

Thank you for your quick response......
One is nuetered....10 years old
one intact in the process within the next 2 weeks of getting him
neutered....5 years old
I've tried to give them each individual attention.
I have tried separating the two.
I have tried spraying with water bottle.
I have purchased an extra dog house for their kennel.

The smaller one (the aggressor) is only 6 pounds and will bite my hand if i get too close during these encounters. My other male 9 pounds will defend himself. I don't know what to do. thnks for your advice.

Put the younger one on a lead in the house. He has no freedom if the other dog is out. You need to be the dominant figure in the house.

Having said that, you have chosen to live with two males. Although you are going to have the younger one neutered, he is now ontact and is behaving as such. Is he a new addition to the home? You may find that he is never able to run freely with your older male. This means one is crated or otherwise confined when the other is out.
