I am looking for a Miniature Siverian Huskies. Preferably in the MI area. If you know of any, as I am having a terrible time finding them, can you let me know?

Could be your not finding them because they are not a real breed. Some enterprising unethical breeder has found out that the unsuspecting public is willing to pay more for undersized dogs of the breed.

Someone who breeds for this, and sells them, is a breeder i would avoid. Breeds have specifying standards for a reason. If you are looking for a smaller breed dog, then look for one that is supposed to be that size.

No such thing. Despite the ads you may see. Because the "breeder" makes no guarantee that the puppy will not be normal size. Charges enormous price for an unregistared dog. That if it gets bigger says so what. If you want a smaller size Northern breed type dog look into an Eskimo dog comes in three different sizes or a Klee Kai

The only problem with that would be if a person wants something more similar to a husky temperment in a smaller size and eskies are not similar in temperment to huskies. They can be stranger wary and can be a problem with small kids. (Bear in mind huskies have a prey drive too.)
Neither are Shiba Inu.
There is the Alaskan Klee Kai, but again, you may not get a dog friendly to everyone like huskies are supposed to be.
I recommend: Norwegian Lundehund
However they are rare and do have health issues.

I would not recommend a Lundie unless you have several thousands of extra $$$$ laying around. Extremely rare breed, incredibly small gene pool....SERIOUS known health issue. Not a matter of IF it shows up, its a matter of WHEN it shows up. Costs thousands to treat, and takes a LONG time to treat.

Know the dogs well, know many breeders, know many owners. Lovely dogs, but i would not go there.

The orginial post said nothing about a dog friendly to other people. They only asked about a "mini Siberian". I would believe they know nothing about the breed. Just looking for a 'mini size' type of dog. I know plenty of Shibas that are very out going. I also know Eskies that are also. Again it all comes from where they come from & how they are raised.
Have thought about a Lundehund for myself but the cost & health issues really scare me. I've seen 2 & don't think they were very good specimens of the breed. Looked like really bad Shibas.

Part of the problem is that the public demands smaller dogs. They have no idea what a breed was created to do, all they want is the "look". With all the mixes and mutts and poos out there people think that if they want something they should be able to have it. And there is always a greeder around the corner who will try to capitalize on that.
