A Visitor asked the following question on 8/30/2006
I have a 5 month old yorkie whose fur on the top of his head inbetween his ears is very light, almost white. His muzzle fur is gold w/some dark hair. Is that white fur going to turn gold or stay white? I need to know for next time. thanks.

Well, The puppies tend to get lighter as they mature...so if the color is light now it will most likely get lighter as it matures...I thing you could try in diet is a food called Red Barn...it is mostly meat and of course highest in protein soI have had very good results with this food for not only good color but also less allergy problems..try a better diet...but look at my dogs on my web site to see the correct color ashmoreyorkies.com
