Why are some yorkies so much more expensive than others? (say a male, pure) everything is exactly the same, and one's $500 and the other is $1200?

No NO NO they are not the same. Blood lines are very important. COLOR is very important. The standard is needed and many do not know this standard. ie; Square in conformation/ not long body and short legs also color ie; stopping just short of black/ not silver. coat to be full and silk in texture/ not wire
