A Visitor asked the following question on 4/17/2004
I am very interested in getting a Whippet as a family pet however, I live in and appartment and work long hours (8am - 6pm but come home for lunch)I am willing to take the dog out for at least 1h-2h a day. Also, should I maybe get 2 dogs to keep each other company? Please help me make the right decision for myself and the dogs. Thanks.

If you have never had a whippet I would start with one male whippet. You can crate training the puppies. Sign up at a locate Pet Store for puppies train class to have quailty time with you new pup and a better relationship also. Understanding is the key. After the puppies is 2yr of age you and get a second whippet. The sleep about 18 hour a day, and work will in apartment. Good luck with you new pet.
