For starters, visit dog shows, race meets, or lure coursing trials and get to know the Whippet people in your area. It also is a good idea to contact the American Whippet Club for referral to a reputable breeder in your area. From there you can speak with these people and together you can make an educated decision on stud dog choice, or whether your bitch should even be bred based on quality, temperament, and factors that should be considered.
