is it normal for the shih tzu breed to spit up a yellow foaming looking liquid, my dog dose this offen, he shakes and brings this liquid film up

he's probably gotten into your yard and had some grass, unless he has highly sensitive tummy - that's bile you're seeing, and dogs cleanse their stomaches with grass ( they eat some and throw it up almost immediately). If it's too much bile, a little dry chow during the day may help. Watch for the grass-eating, first.
