I keep wondering how a breeder judges the size that puppy will be. My sheltie is 9 months old and is around 12 and a half inches. So how much longer will it take to grow her out more? How many half inches will she possibly grow?
I get so amazed how a statement is made, this pup will be too small for the ring, and this pup will be too large.
I just get such a bang out of this, because I wouldn't have any idea, except my girl is very tiny featured also. I knew she would be a teeny sheltie when I bought her.
I think some shelties have to be held out if they are too small or the breeders could stump their growth for show.
Glad she is little or she wouldn't have been sold as a pet.
