First off please let me say how sorry I am it has taken me so long to get back to you.
Whe I did this web site I had was not aware of this part.
I have only been in the shibas for 12 years now. My oldest one is 12 and still going strong. I saw a 13 year old that was still being shown and doing great. I am told from the breeder I got my first male from it is very common for them to go to 15 in good health.
Again I am very sorry not to have gotten back to you before now. I hope this helps.

The longest I've ever heard of a Shiba living was 21 years. Wow! Mine live from 14-17 yrs
