I have developed a problem with my Husky. She is 3 years old, I have owned her for 6 months. She is kept in the house and is very well behaved, a very good companion and friend. I am 26 and I live alone. Lately when I take her out to do her jobs she doesn't want to go back in the house. She wants to go only where she wants to and not where I want to. When I try to lead her in a different direction and not necessarily towards the house, she will just lay down on her belly and refuse to go. Please help!

10/12/11 Siberians are very independent. I always say that if a cat could be a dog, it would be a Siberian Husky. They are extremely affectionate on THEIR terms. She probably is just enjoying some outside time. Do you have a fenced area that she could run around in to work some of her energy off? When I bring my dogs in, I usually offer them a treat that they really like. they know when they come into the house, a treat will be waiting. That seems to make it a little easier for them to leave the freedom of being outside and come back into the house. Bonnie
