I am a fire fighter and I work a 24 hour on/24 hour off work schedule. I was thinking about having 2 Huskys to keep eachother busy in a backyard and having a friend feed them dinner while i was gone. Is that a bad idea?

My concern with this arrangement would be the length of time that they have to get into trouble (digging out, hurting themselves or each other) without being checked on. Most of us work and having multiple dogs at home to entertain each other is a good thing....if you have neighbors who are willing to keep an eye on them while you're on shift, it could work.
