Siberian Husky Questions

A Visitor asked the following question on 2/21/2008
I have heard mixed comments about the Miniature Siberian Husky. I wanted to know if they are purbreed Siberian Huskies that were just breed from the smaller dogs or what? I have wanted a Husky my entire life. I am 25 now and feel I have the resources and financial stability now to take care of one but was curious about the Mini. I wanted to get a Mini first if they are for real and then gradually as I grow in life get the larger breed. Are there many breeders of them because I would like to speak with more than a couple? Please let me know as to the truth about them and let me know if you know any Breeders of them. I would also like to know how one becomes a breeder themself. I would eventually like to become a Husky Breeder myself. Thank you Garrett Fuge I want to buy one as soon as possible.

3/1/08 Garrett, there is a breed called the Alaskan Klee Kai registered by the United Kennel Club. They look like a miniature Siberian Husky, but were not developed exclusively from this breed. Debbie Deborah

8/9/08 I wouldnt buy a miniature . I dont think their is no such thing. I dont see how you could get papers on them . I dont think they would be pure breed. Shirley

1/5/10 Technically it can be done by breeding the runts of the litters but the size they say they get down to would take years to get to. So unless you know the people personally and know that is the only way they did it (without mixing breeds) I wouldn’t recommend it. Amanda
