A Visitor asked the following question on 5/17/2005
My female full blooded Rottweiler had puppies by another full blooded Rottweiler but two of the six puppies have a black and brown coat instead of a solid black coat with tan spots. How would this be and what causes are possible?

Are you sure another dog did not tie with your female? if not..it is a genetic fault and I would not breed these particular dogs. Too many Back yard breeders..most should purchase from breeders who are code of ethics breeders, and those that show..they know the breed.
