Would these dogs enjoy living with a collage studnet who loves quite time and is not very active?

These dogs are very personable. They want to be with people. If you are a college student who has a full schedule and work, keeping this breed happy would be difficult. They like to run in the snow, play in the field or just walk down the street. They can be litter box trained so living in a appartment isn't a problem. They do require you to spend time with them.
