A Visitor asked the following question on 5/3/2004
My pom has suddenly become aggressive, she growls and acts like she will bite. It looks to me like fear aggression; but she has never been mis-treated. She is " our baby". I have noticed too, that she trembles even when she is lying down at rest in bed with us. What could be wrong? What kind of diseases are pom's prone to?

How old is your female? Is she spayed? If not, it is possible that she is in heat, or coming into it. One of my females tends to get aggressive a week or so before coming in. If she were mine, I would take her to the vet for a complete check.
