We are hoping to get a English Mastiff...after much daydreaming and research we are concerned about stairs. We have a split level home with 7 stairs heading either to bedrooms or family areas. Can a mastiff handle them?

Yes, You have to make sure a rambunctios puppy uses every stair and doesn't jump down the last several stairs. Mastiff pups can be quite uncoordinated when learning stairs so I would supervise them on the stairs just like you would a toddler!
